Green Glue Soundproofing on outside walls and sheathing

If you’re re-siding or re-constructing the outside walls of your house, it would be a great idea to double up on the plywood sheathing and add a layer of the Green Glue damping compound between the layers of sheathing. The Green Glue would damp the sheathing and stop the transmission of traffic or other outdoor noises from entering your home. This would also preclude you from having to soundproof the inside walls especially if you home has plaster walls. Plaster is not a very good soundproofing material, so if you have already soundproofed the sheathing on the outer walls there is no need to disturb the inside plaster of drywall walled walls.
