What is a Boutique Hotel?

Boutique hotels are luxurious, unique hotels designed for discerning travellers and those wanting something a little different from the average business hotel or tourist treadmill.

A boutique hotel is typically small, with fewer than 40 rooms and each room is uniquely furnished in a style to complement the hotel. Generally of a contemporary design, many of these wonderful hotels do however have lovingly restored period features in each room. Plasma screen TV’s, designer furnishings and beautiful bathrooms are also common and each room will be accessorised individually –there’s no room for a cheap plastic kettle and a scruffy rubber plant in these surroundings.
